From the very beginning when crude oil was being discovered in our Planet Earth, we have been told that the supply of crude oil  was finite. It would eventually disappear if we did not learn to use it wisely!

My view of this theory of a single source, a single method of creation has been at variance with the popular notion of One Source for many years. It all has to do with the ancient tales that oil is just one of the major fossil fuels. Simply put, I believe crude oil is produced by two different methods! OIL is being created continuously by a method that speculators and oil scientists know about, but for obvious reasons they prefer to keep alive the One Source Theory! By promoting the One Source Theory, oil experts and speculators have kept the price of crude very high!

First, however, I want to lead you through the process by which I have arrived at this Two Source Theory which I have informally identified as the Scheidemann Theory of the Several Origins of Crude Oil! I have no intention of publishing this theory because much of my work is drawn from a non-academic background! In time, there may be a good reason to reveal these ideas when they have greater meaning. Today, however, the free flowing millions of gallons of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico is the first recent proof of the One Source lie!

As a physicist, much of my work and thought has been through observation of phenomena existing in Planet Earth in which it seems that there is a "dualistic" aspect to all fundamental resource generation systems. One, for instance, that has attracted my attention for at least 80 years has been how the propagation of radio waves around the Earth and in Space depends upon TWO mediums:

1. The Geomagnetic System formed by the Magnetic Flux flowing between the North and South magnetic poles of the planet, and

2. The Effects of the Solar system -- our Sun that makes possible Human, Animal and Vegetable Life on our Planet and, possibly, other planets in our Universe!

Simply stated, in Item #2, the tremendous energy from the Sun ionizes certain regions in the ionosphere, creating ions that become carriers or conveyors of radio waves created by Humans on Earth and created by activity on other planets, producing transmissions similar to radio waves we produce with our radio transmitters.

Consider how waves can be made in a pool of water.  Those waves are felt on distant shores yet the waves have not moved from points A to B. They have merely conveyed the impulse (i.e. the signal) across the body of water by wave action! Layers of ionosphere affect the behavior of radio waves, either by sending them back toward earth or letting the radio signal bend so it continues to propagate through space never to return to Earth again! Those that are bent back toward the Earth's surface are detected and demodulated by powerful electronic receivers such as Ham Radio operators use!

But what happens when the Sun is on the other side of the Earth (i.e. at nighttime)? Actually radio waves -- the ones with long wavelengths such as we use for AM broadcasting stations -- seem to be much stronger at night! If there is no sun, what carries the radio signals to be propagated (i.e. conveyed) then? That is when the Geomagnetic Flux becomes the main carrier of signals! It is less susceptible to noise and static when depending upon geomagnetic flux. With the Sun's powerful solar flux impinging on our atmosphere and Earth itself, the Signal-to-Noise level is poor. At night, with the solar noise absent the radio transmission is clearer!  

Tune a shortwave receiver after dark and you will observe that the stations from Central and South America are very strong and quite numerous. That is because, the flow of the Magnetic Flux is in a North and South path. Other stations are clearer, no matter where they are but their strength will not be dominant.

What we have is a demonstration of how the Natural Physical World has utilized two different systems, a demonstration of how our physical world understands and employs the concept of "redundancy" rather wisely.  In the creation of animal and human Life forms, we also see "dualistic" systems employed for the purposes of Redundancy. Redundancy is a design tactic aimed at addressing different environmental conditions like Daytime and Nighttime!

The construction of the Human Brain has two lobes or chambers and it is generally known that 90% of us have a Brain, one chamber (e.g. the Right lobe) devoted to Creative thinking tasks and a Left Lobe that accumulates and "learns" Man-made things like alphabets, numerals and their manipulation -- the stuff we learn in school! I call the Left Lobe our Tool Box for obvious reasons. Our Right Lobe is more complex as it contains a read-only capability similar to an EPROM in a modern computer! When born we abide by this programming of Nature through the Pre-Operational period from birth to 5-7 years according to Piaget, father of child psychology.

CRUDE OIL: a By-product of Earth's Living Process!

Now, I direct your attention to how Nature has managed to create two kinds of Crude Oil, an energy-filled substance of unbelievable utility ranging from fuel for combustion engines to paint, synthetic fibres, plastics and life-saving medications!

The most well-known crude oil -- let's call it Class 1A -- is that found in the outer crust of the Earth, often associated with coal, peat and other kinds of rotting and degenerating vegetable and animal matter -- perhaps!

The other Class, I have named Class 2B is associated with unbelievable life-like activity thousands of miles at the very center of our planet! This is where volcanoes are spawned due to millions of tons of pressure all part of the gravitational effects that exist between all masses of material. Some think of this activity at the center of the Earth, its tremendous amount of Heat, Pressure as forming the LIFE or Living Nature of our Planet. Indeed, earthquakes and volcanoes are proof of how our planet is involved in a continuous process of renewal much the same as the Human Body metabolic system rebuilds itself until we reach age sixty or thereabout!

It is in the center of Earth where a ball of iron is sloshing about cradled in a more than 2,000 degree Fahrenheit temperature, under tremendous pressure, forcing a movement of hot gases outward toward the ocean floors where undersea Volcanoes unleash there massive eruptions, producing new islands in places like the Pacific Ocean Chain.

In volcanoes like the Mt. St. Helena eruption thirty years ago, the amount of pressure and energy unleashed from inside our planet demonstrated the powerful activity of energy in the form of gases and molten magna that continuously keeps working its way toward the outer crust of Earth!

Incidental to this soft iron ball which is magnetized by surfaces rubbing against each other, thereby magnetizing that ball which creates the flux that makes a magnetic directional compass operate, there are tons of gas being generated. What does gas do when it is under pressure? It tries to move outward with the pressure inside the center of the Earth, a process that continues night-and-day, year-in and year-out! As these superheated gases make their way through the interstices of material (principally silicon, sand, and many other elemental compounds), the gases cool and at some point they begin to change their state from gas to liquid. This migration continues to keep crawling toward the surface, cooling until it begins to "pool" or collect in whatever cavities it finds. This process of "precipitation" is aided by those parts of the earth where cold spots exists, such as beneath ocean floors, gulfs and large lakes! That is where the largest supplies of Type 2B Crude Oil is found!

The British Petroleum fiasco in The Gulf, probably the largest cache of crude oil ever tapped under deep water, is probably a 2B type which I have dubbed "Deep Source" Crude Oil! 

Depending upon the kind of material it encounters, this process of liquid -- now nascent crude oil -- continues to move upward until a Point of Equilibrium is reached! Depending upon the kind of material this Class 2B Oil commingles over what could be dozens of years, the oil acquires certain impurities such as sulphur and other adulterations that make that oil desirable or less desirable!

The Bottom Line of the Scheidemann Theory of Crude Oil Sources is simply pure Franklynesque RMO thinking: every accepted theory or scientific conclusion should be challenged from time-to-time! If my theory has any validity, our entire approach to thinking about ENERGY could be looked at in a somewhat different light.

Unfortunately, I won't be here to enjoy the Fun!

EDITOR'S COMMENT

As things stand today, we are being driven by a belief that has the world in a state of Economic Frenzy and the speculators throughout the world are ripping us off every couple of years by running crude oil prices higher and higher each time. We are now staring at impoverishment because of Political Thieves and Environmental Frauds who have enlisted the Vulnerable and Ignorant folks into an army of activists that have virtually wrecked the Peace of Mind of the Citizens of the Industrialized Nations, mainly by forcing Pseudo Science and Frauds like Al Gore and Carol Brunner, the latter now in Obama's Administration!

About May 1, 2010, a British Petroleum off-shore well-drilling rig exploded, causing the uncontrolled release of millions of gallons of crude oil, the greatest disaster of its kind in world history. As of this moment, May 31, 2010, efforts by experts to stop the release of crude oil into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, have failed because the well head is located a mile beneath the surface. Only robotic equipment is being used to work five-thousand feet below which means every effort is unpredictable because work at such depths has never been tried before. One might ask: "Why was BP allowed to drill such a well, when it was known that we cannot control operations at those depths?" Politics, of course, is the answer  --  Greed and Need, as well!

Add to this disturbing picture, how Party Politics prevents opening oil fields in areas like ANWAR in Alaska where the economic impact of such an accident would have been less damaging to the Human Economy, although wild life could be severely threatened! As we struggle to survive, we must try to recognize that there is no such thing as a risk-free, Hold-Harmless life on this whirling planet!
